Iota History

 

The Chi Phi fraternity has had a long history at The Ohio State University. November 9th, 1883 is the founders day for Chi Phi at Ohio State. Unfortunately, in the early 2000's Chi Phi was losing some strength and decided it would be in the best interest of the fraternity to leave the campus. 



However, on June 1st 2012, Chi Phi initiated an eleven man pledge class and has been growing ever since. As we applied to become a chapter we had about thirty active members. Our petition to Charter was passed  by The Grand Council at the 149th Chi Phi congress during the Summer of 2014. Later in the Fall, Chi Phi recieved its' Charter. Currently, Iota continues to grow steadily valuing the quality of men it bids. We currently stand at about 50 active members.
